ABIDING DISCIPLESHIP: “How to be Hated for Jesus’ Sake”

Matthew 10:22 NKJV

“…you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.”

But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. “Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”

SAVED:  Greek - Sozo-which means to save, heal, deliver, or make whole.

HOW TO BE HATED FOR JESUS’ SAKE

1. REMEMBER THE WORD

John 15:20 NKJV

“Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.”

2. REMEMBER THE VERDICT

John 3:19-21

“This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”

3. REMEMBER THE LOVE OF GOD

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 4. REMEMBER THE JOY OF CALVARY
